Private practice
I currently practice in Jeffreys Bay,
South Africa. I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
In my previous private practice in New Zealand, my focus included providing therapy to female adolescent and adult clients who had been sexually and emotionally abused.
My general focus has been with adults who experience anxiety, depression, relationship, adaptation, work and health challenges and who experience complex PTSD.
I use an eclectic model, which includes DBT ( Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), CBT ( Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) ACT ( Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Expressive Arts Therapy, which incorporates creative modalities to support clients who benefit from creative, practical and expressive engagement.
I was Incredible Years and Triple P Parenting trained in New Zealand, and facilitated parents with children with special needs and/or behavioural challenges, as well as assisting teachers and training teacher aids.
My work is client-centred and I endeavour to accommodate the needs of my clients, using creative modalities such as role-play, art, puppetry, visualisation, mindfulness and small figure work. I focus on a strength based approach using narrative. I encourage a safe environment based on trust, confidentiality and acceptance, so as to facilitate and empower my clients to discover their potential and their strengths.
My private practice is in Noorsekloof,
Jeffreys Bay. I am available to offer therapy to children & adolescents, adults and couples.
